*Whip quickly starts hitting up a wall with his hammer*
Whip: Gottafindsomethingtonotdiewith!
*The whole wall collapses upon him*

Mana: You won't find any items in this world that will help you~ *pauses in her picking to think about it* Unless you want to try a revive or something. Maybe it'll work on you.

*Whip cries out from inside the pile of rubble, but then surfaces*
Whip: Well, you know what! I know how to stay safe!
*Whip pulls out a big drill from his mining kit*
Whip: I'll make myself a base!

Mana: *doesn't even turn to give Whip her attention* Alright~ Have fun. I'm not making mine yet.

Whip: YOUR LOSS! FOR MINE IS A DRILL THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS!
*Whip revs up his drill*
Whip: GIGA DRIIIIIIIILLLLL BREEEEAAKKKEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRR!
*Upon touching actual stone, the drill sends Whip spinning and flying back, making a cave on the opposite wall with his spiralling body instead*

Mana: *looks back at Whip wryly* How secretive. Because I totally don't know where it is now.

*Out of the cave, Whip sounds pained*
Whip: Neither do I.....@.@

Mana: *finishes up her work and starts planting some jewels in the ground*

*Whip pokes back out from his cave*
Whip: Mana! Come help me! There are a ton of boulders in here, and the first one was easy to get rid of, but these others are like, tonnes heavy!

Mana: You can't get rid of them until you steal some more base flags, friend~

Whip: Then make a base so I can steal your flag! My Tikal plushie won't fit unless I get rid of these dumb boulders!
*Whip flails uselessly against the stone wall outside his base*

Mana: I'm afraid I'm waiting until we get to Eterna City to make my base~

Whip: Then what the heck are we doing here!? And why are you burying those shines!?
*Whip plucks up one of the treasures*
Whip: ....So shiny....

Mana: Oi! Put that back down! *steals the shiny anyways* They happen to grow if you leave them in the ground. And I wanted to try out our mining kits~

Whip: ...The shinies... grow?
*Whip's eyes sparkle as brightly as the spheres in the ground*

Mana: *nods* Yup~ And you can trade them for items here underground, like plushies. *her eyes sparkle as well*

Whip: ....
*Whip pulls his bag, unhooks it, and empties all the spheres that he apparently collected with his seagull eyes, and tosses them into his cave. Then, he hits the hole with his hammer until the whole thing collapses*
Whip: Buried. NOW GROW SHINIES! GROOOOW!

Mana: ... *sweatdrops* It takes a few days.

Whip: Ah, what?
*Whip drops from a standing position to a criss-crossed sitting position, grumpily crossing his arms*
Whip: Well, what else is there to do down here then? Besides making you say "I like Butts".

Mana: Hmm... I think that's it, really. Mining, bases, and traps~ You wanna just go back up and head to the next town? We can come back a few days later.

Whip: Wait, what about that mining thing?
*Whip hops up*
Whip: What do you mine for, anyways?

Mana: *shrugs* Whatever you can find, really~ But specifically, I know there's heart scales, shards, pokemon fossils, and I think gold in here somewhere besides all the gems.

*Whip's eyes flash at the mention of gold*
Whip: ...Gold, you say~?

Mana: I think so? But it's really rare from what I hear.

Whip: It's a big underground~
*Whip swings out his hammer*
Whip: Let's get digging!~
*Whip slams his hammer into the wall again, causing is to collapse on him again*
Whip: WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME!?
