*Chacron pockets the emerald and nods*
Nexeus: Tuh, your just lucky Chac-ey is feeling caring today!
*Chacron gives Nexues a glare that obviously says "Shut up"*

Slifer: *nods.* The other chao have just about caught up to us.

Chacron: Then let us finish fairly. On the count of three we can begi-
*Dashes off mid-sentence*

Slifer: *smirks* Just as I thought. *Dashes off to catch up with him.*

Chacron: ~I have to admit, even though I attempted foul play, this chao is still playing fair. Though it doesn't matter. Cheating or not I can beat anyone!~
*Nexeus was still standing there, before spinning around with an angry glare*
Nexeus: Hey! You could warn me before-
*Nexeus is suddenly run over by the onslaught of other contesting chao*

Slifer: *catches up to Chacron* Now this is much better. Though I wonder what happened to Drench?

*Deep inside the cave between the Chao Karate and Chao race*

*Back at the race, with Chacron rushing to full speed to try and beat Slifer*

Slifer: *picks up his pace.* I wish I had more time to get used to the new fox abilities I gained. Then, maybe I could acess this new speed easier.

Ana: *breaks into the hide out where Drench is kept, eyes ablaze* Who DARES kidnap my husband!?

*Back with the race*
Nexeus: *Whom was just beginning to pick herself up off of the floor* Ugh, my spine just went cold.

Slifer: *oblivious to anything except his running starting to gain a slight lead.*

Chacron: ~This isn't gonna work, I'm going to be beaten!~
*Chacron starts sprinting, lights begin to shine, the crowd is cheering, the floor separates into rainbow colours, the Finish line can be seen close! And then-!*
*Thwunk*
*Chacron falls into a pit trap, face first, and his emoticon turns into a swirly thing*

slifer: *stops* He fell into a trap... He proably had it set. *Gose and helps Chacron out of the pit.*

*Chacron pulls himself out and ignores Slifer's help*
Chacron:....Just go. Your selflessness is almost sickening. and envious...
*Chacron turns around and crosses his arms*
Chacron: ....Besides, I already have an emerald, and I'm sure it's much better than the lame one they have there....

Slifer: *shrugs and runs the rest of the race*

Ana: Drenchi-poo! Who did this to you!? D= *spiral ecomotion*

Drench: Ugh, it was that Chacron's Girlfriend.. She snook up behind me and smacked me with a power fruit...

*The crowd goes wild for Slifer and confetti pops and blows everywhere. The remaining chao minus Chacron and Nexeus gather around Slifer and begin a thunderous clamp. The band in the background plays a theme of success and the sun shines out from behind a cloud and casts its rays on Slifer as the referee walks up to him with a badge*
Referee: Congratulation! You beat the all-time chapion! For that, you win this badge!
*He pins the badge on Slifer*
Referee: And this Chaos Emerald Replica!
*He then passes Slifer a Glass Chaos Emerald*

Slifer: Um.. thanks. What's with the glass?

Referee: Yes, This replica Chaos Emerald is all yours! It will always be a reminder of this glorious day when you won the race. Now as we all know, chao have an odd tendancy to mutate when coming in contact with Chaos Emeralds, so we're giving this replica instead! Now everyone go home.
*The crowd unnaturally disperses, all the other chao leave, the sun falls behind a cloud, the confetti stops, and the trumpeting ceases*
