Mana: Oh, I'm staying here. *she opens the door again, and then points to the large building ahead of them* You, on the other hand, can go to the gym over there and start without me.

Whip: What? You're really willing to give me that huge advantage over your already-sub-par team?
*Whip scoffs*
Whip: That's not such a good strategy, I think~

Mana: *gives Whip an "uh-huh" look* Yeah, strategy's not my thing. Now get going as I get our mining kits!

Whip: Alright, if you're that willing to miss out on cheering me and my amazing pokemon on~
*Whip stands up on his own right, dusting himself off*

Mana: I'll be there before you know it~ But if I don't, Tsunami will cheer you on.
Tsunami: *is already right next to Whip, and salutes Mana* Pip!
Mana: *waves at both of them and closes the door on Whip as she gets back in line*

*Whip looks down at Tsunami*
Whip:...Alright then. Let's do this~
*Whip runs for the Gym, excitedly kicking the door....and hurting his leg*

Tsunami: *starts laughing at Whip's failure* Piiiip pip pip pip!

*Whip's vein pulses*
Whip: Sh-SHUT UP! Could'a put a sign that said it was automatic....
*Whip hops back up and opens the door properly, looking around*
Whip: Hello~? Anyone in here?

Guy Who Stands Next to the Pokemon Statues: Yo! New challenger?

Whip: KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
*Whip hops up to the top of the statue in one hop*
Whip:.....*ahem*
*Whip sidles back down*
Whip: Erm, y-yeah....

*The Guy looks at Whip with a weird look as Tsunami cracks up in the background*
The Guy: Well, since this is your first time, here's the deal. *points to the challengers all around the place and the gym leader at the very end* You can train before battling the gym leader, or you can go straight to him. He has six pokemon, but will only use three, so you never know what pokemon he'll use. It's so others can still challenge him throughout the day. *grins* Good luck!

Whip: There's a Pokemon Center like, ten metres away... Alright then!
*Whip takes one marching step, and then pauses*
Whip: ....Huh....I'm not sure if I should train or....

Tsunami: Pip! Pip pip pip! *points to the trainers, as if he's saying Whip should train*

Whip: Quiet you stupid turkey! I'm thinking!
*Whip rubs his chin*
Whip:....Hah... I guess I can afford to kick a few butts before taking on the leader. It'll demoralize him after all~

Tsunami: *sends bubbles after Whip for that comment* PIP PIP PIP!!

*Whip tries defending himself pathetically*
Whip: STOP THAT! STOP THAT!

Tsunami: *relents on the bubbles and glares at Whip* PIP! *folds wings/fins*

*Whip shakes the bubble water off of himself*
Whip: You're the worst cheerleader ever....
*Whip walks around for a bit, and approaches one of the people in the gym*
Whip: Oi! You! I'm looking for a warm up! Think you can help?

Girl: Sure! *eyes Tsunami* Is that your pokemon?
Tsunami: *crosses wings/fins again, offended* Pip!

Whip: Hah! That thing?
*Whip scoffs*
Whip: As if! I'm watching it for a friend.

Tsunami: *looks ready to learn surf in order to drown Whip* PIP PIP PIP PIP!!!!
Girl: Well, just be careful I guess. It looks ready to drown you.

Whip: Don't worry, our relationship isn't that vitrolic yet~
*Whip scratches his head*
Whip: So, are you ready or what?

Girl: Sure! Goooo, Geodude! *throws out her pokeball, releasing a Geodude*
Geodude: Geo, Geodude!

Whip: Hah! That's it? This'll be easy~
*Whip pulls out his pokeball and tosses it*
Whip: Go, Amy!
*Amy is released from her ball, slamming into the ground*
