Carissa: Ah, a Budew? No problem! Wooper!
*Wooper hops up obediently*
Wooper: Pah!
Carissa: Go in and Slam that beautiful Budew!
*Wooper runs at Rose and swings his tail*

Mana: Rose! Dodge and use stun spore!
Rose: *spins out of the way and releases the paralyzing spores at Wooper*

Carissa: Wooper-!
*Wooper is covered in the spores, and its movements seem choppy and sporadic*
Wooper: P-Paaah!
Carissa: Wooper! Come on! Try a Mud Shot!
*Wooper tries, and fails, to make any sort of movement*

Mana: Rose! Mega drain!
Rose: Buuuuudeeeew~! *opens up its petals on the top to absorb energy from the fallen Wooper*

*Wooper has itself drained out, falling over from just one hit*
Carissa: Wooper!
*Carissa runs to Wooper's side, where little swirlies reside in its cornea. She sighs and recalls the Pokemon*
Carissa: Alright! No more messing around!
*She hops all the way back to her spot in one leap and prepares another pokeball*
Carissa: Go! FonFon!
*Carissa tosses her pokeball, which explodes into a shower of stars and releases a cute looking Phanphy*
FonFon: Phaaaa~!

Mana: *Mana is infatuated!* HUWAAAAH~! IT'S ADORABLE~! >v<
Rose: *seems shocked by Mana's words* B-Budew!?

Carissa: Don't be so easily fooled! FonFon! Take Down that Budew!
*Fonfon sticks her head out and makes a mad dash towards Budew*

Mana: *Mana is in infatuated with Foe FonFon! She is immobizlized by love!* IT'S SO CUUUUTE~!
Budew: *turns an angry shade of red, seeming to be furious and possibly jealous by Mana's antics* BUDEEEW! *releases spores at FonFon as it nears*

Carissa: Quick! Plow through those spores with a Rollout!
*FonFon, in her momentum, rolls into a ball and dashes through the spores*

Budew: *obviously shocked* Budew!?
Mana: *has apparently recovered from her infatuation* Budew! Jump and use mega drain!
Budew: *hesitates for a second from the suddenly new command and jumps up before using mega drain on FonFon*

*FonFon seems to be drained, but doesn't relent from it's rolling*
Carissa: Quick FonFon! turn around and keep Rolling!
*FonFon spins around from it's rolling and continues after Budew again*

Mana: Budew! Get out of the way!
Budew: *seems to have its own idea and times its jump so it lands on FonFon running frantically to balance itself and stay on* Bu-dew-dew-dew-dew-dew! OvO;

Carissa: I---What!?
*FonFon revs around and around, trying to buck Rose off of it*

(Pst, friend, it seems we've both forgotten to list Rose as Rose. >v>; )

[...Oops. >v>;]
Mana: *surprised by new situation but rolls with it* Okay Rose! Mega Drain!
Rose: *opens its petals as it scrambles on top of FonFon and lets the energy be drawn to her* Budeeeew!

*FonFon's rollout peters out, and eventually, it opens up and skids to a halt on its stomach, stars replacing its eyes*
Carissa: No! FonFon!
*Carissa hops up and down in a small tantrum, but eventually returns her Pokemon*

Mana: Alright Rose~! *opens her arms for Rose to jump in*
Rose: Budeeew~! *jumps into Mana's arms, receiving a glomp*
Mana: Great job, little buddy~! >w< *cuddling*

*Carissa shakes her head incredulously*
Carissa: I've never seen anybody win so easily, much less with a Budew!
*She hops up closer and closer to Mana, until they are the same uncomfortable distance from each other*
Carissa: Congratulations on your win!
*She offers her hand, which she awkwardly has to actually pull back to offer properly, to shake with Mana*

Mana: *shifts Rose in her arms so she can shake her hand* Thanks! And thanks for the good battle~ ^w^

Carissa: Yeah, you should definately-

*Some sounds come from another part of the gym, and Whip suddenly dashes past Mana, skidding to a stop, and running back to her*
Whip: HeyManaIdidn'tdoanythingwrongbutifsomebodycomesbyhere-
: GET BACK HERE WITH THAT BADGE!
Whip: Oh Miltanks! Here!
*Whip tosses Mana a Coal badge and continues running; a few seconds later, the Gym leader, Roark, catches up, panting and tired, pausing in front of Mana to catch his breath*
Roark: What... kind of trainer....

Mana: *face has gone pale and she's wearing a horrified expression to go along with the new color* ...

*Roark manages to catch his breath and stands up, shifting his helmet to fit more comfortably. He turns to Mana and Carissa, apparently having missed them*
Roark: Hey, you two are trainers, right? Did you see that kid come through here?
Carissa: Uh.....
*Carissa leans in to Mana*
Carissa: That was your friend, right? Just what kind of trouble does he get himself into?

Mana: *still looks completely mortified* Always a lot of trouble. And the worst.

Carissa: Don't worry, I've got this covered!
*Carissa approaches Roark in her usual manner, causing him to lean back a bit*
Carissa: Wow, you're the gym leader, right?
Roark: Uh.... Y-yes, yes I am.
*Carissa moves closer, causing him to turn away*
Carissa: You're really cool! I train ground and rock-types, just like you!
*Whilst she makes him uncomfortable with her closeness, Carissa uses her leg to swat the badge out of Mana's grasp, and catches it with the hand she holds behind her back*
Roark: I-I'm glad to be an inspira-
*Carissa wraps her arms around him and squeezes so tightly he yelps*
Carissa: I can't help it-
*She sneakily puts the badge back into his pocket*
Carissa: -you're just so cool!
*She hops back and winks at Mana, whilst Roark just seems incredibly bewildered*

Mana: *is also bewildered by Carissa's actions and is left speechless once again* ...

*Carissa waits for Mana to prod, but upon seeing her speechlessness, takes charge again*
Carissa: So! Mana here-
*Pushes Mana in front of herself*
Carissa: -wanted to challenge you to a battle!
Roark: Really?
*He examines her breifly*
Roark: Well, I'd like to accept, but the trainer that just got away stole my last badge.
Carissa: Are you sure you don't have any spares?
*Roark reflexively checks his pockets*
Roark: Well, I wasn't expecting any spares to come in yet, so-
*Roark finds the badge in his pocket*
Roark: Oh! Looks like I still have one.
*He nods to Mana*
Roark: Okay! You wanted to challenge me?
