*Nhadala watches Mana intently*
Nhadala: What are you trying to do...?

Mana: Shh... *continues to stare intently at the machine, as if listening to it*

*Nhadala peers closer to Mana*
Nhadala: ...It's not going to do a backflip...

Mana: *manages a wry smile* Don't doubt my magic~ *her hand glows and although nothing happens in the outside, the machine grows slightly warmer* Do you want the combustion reaction to happen right now or later? My magic's where it should be.

Nhadala: Well... if you're sure this'll work, then...
*Nhadala calls to a few Al Bhed workers*
Nhadala: Lusa uh ajanouha! Ramb kad drec [machina] uhdu dra dnylgc!
*The workers surround the machine and latch it to a small crane, which lifts the drill slowly and pulls it into the tunnel. the crane drops it down, aiming it in one direction down the tunnel that leads into a dark abyss*
Nhadala: Well, let's see what you've got!

Mana: *claps her hands together and her eyes glow pink again as well as her hands* Combustion~! *the energy she placed inside does its job and starts the reaction*

*The Machina, as if breathed upon by life itself, rumbles and roars to life, it's drill peak whirring and spiralling like a great tornado and causing many of the workers to shout swears in foreign languages and jump away. The Machina becomes... too powered, and its wheels suddenly spin off, blasting it forward and drilling through the tunnel as if it were sandpaper. Everyone, Nhadala included, stand by slack-jawed*

Mana: *looks concerned* ...Did I put to much energy? *becomes horrified at the idea she messed all their work off* I-I can turn it off and fix it...!

*Nhadala seems so shocked, she's forgotten her English*
Nhadala: Hu hu! Tuh'd cdub bnuknacc!
*She breaks from the shock first and chases after the drill, no longer paying attention to Mana*
Nhadala: Xielg! Ajanouha! Vummuf dra bnuknacc!
*The rest of the workers, either shocked by the machina or under command of Nhadala, follow suit, leaving Mana alone in the tunnelways*

Mana: *looks confused, but does as Nhadala says and lets the energy run its course as she waits back in the tunnelway* Y-Ygea...

*Clapping echos through the now-empty tunnel way behind Mana*
Gippal: That was pretty impressive, I've gotta say!
*Gippal enters in through the same stairs Mana did, with Yuna, Rikku, Paine, and Sugar, following behind him*
Gippal: I've been raving at these guys for weeks on how great my idea to build a tram was, but in five minutes, you've managed to make more headway than I ever could~
Rikku: That's because she used her brains for a change...
*Gippal headlocks Rikku playfully*
Gippal: What was that, Cid's girl? I expect that kind of comment from Dr. P, but you're supposed to be nice and giggly~!
*Rikku struggles against him, blushing very hard from the contact*

Mana: *giggles while she internally brews multiple plans for the two Al Bhed, but smiles politely at Gippal* Thanks for the compliment.

*Gippal releases Rikku and clasps his hands together*
Gippal: Alright! Who wants to take a ride on the Machina Machine?
*Gippal heads to a terminal site, the only small portion of the tunnel that is overlaid with a strong steel tiling and not open to the natural elements of Spira. He flicks at a few buttons on a main-head terminal and, in frustration with its lack of response, smacks it with his fists until it lights up properly. Paine and Rikku snatch Mana, Sugar, and Yuna into a huddle*
Rikku: I don't think we should trust this thing.
Paine: If he programmed it, there's no way it'll work right...
Sugar: D-don't you think you're being a little harsh?

Mana: *still hung up over the name* Isn't "The Machina Machine" a little redundant?

Gippal: It's a hybrid of salvaged machina and hand-made machines~
*Gippal's sudden appearance in the huddle causes everyone to hop back, and poor Sugar loses the remaining colour in her face*
Gippal: Come on ladies, you can trust your old friend Gippal~ No need to talk behind my back~
Paine: We don't trust you or your machine.
*Yuna looks shocked at Paine's honesty*
Yuna: P-Paine!
*The sounds of a rumbling come from the other end of the tunnel, and headlights glare in, blinding the room for a few seconds*
Gippal: Look! Our ride's here!
Rikku: We'd look if we could!

Mana: Nyaaaah! *rubs at her eyes* It's too bright!

*The lights dim down as the head of the tram passes, and in its stead comes a snake-like chain of passenger cars, each of which do not look like the pinnacle of engineering*
Gippal: There she is~ Back from the test run and no accidents this time~!
Paine: This time?
Rikku: I'm not getting in that thing! It'll eat us!
*Gippal shrugs his shoulders tauntingly*
Gippal: Alright, I guess if you're scared-
Rikku: Move it!
*Rikku pushes him aside and stomps in. Paine shakes her head*
Paine: She'll do anything as long as he says she can't....

Mana: *looks at the passenger cars curiously* Are these mine carts?

Gippal: They were, until I put a little bit of genius behind them~!
Paine: So it's powered by hot air?
*Gippal takes a hit and sweat drops*
Gippal: Aaanyways, these puppies are only for the test runs. I'll replace them when we get the track finished, but for now, they'll take you to Moonflow, easy!
Yuna: Wait, the tracks aren't completed?
Gippal: Don't worry, the breaks are~!
Paine: ....Have you always been a mad engineer, or does it just hide behind all that flaunting you do?
Gippal: I try not to think about it~ So, all aboard who's going aboard!
*Gippal smacks the side of a car, which echos loudly through the tunnel*

Mana: *hops into the passenger cart and pulls out goggles again as she snaps it onto her smiling face* Onwards to adventures filled with insanity~!!

*Gippal grins*
Gippal: I like your friend!
*Yuna and Paine both sigh and reluctantly get in with Rikku. Sugar nervously lifts herself in with Mana*
Gippal: Alright! Keep your feet and hands in the machine at all times and you should be alright!
*He grips a lever and then pulls a break, and the machine lurches, being released from the holdings*
Gippal: And good luck!
*With a press of a button, the entire train of carts blazes forward, skating down the tracks and through the tunnel like a bullet*

Mana: *lets out a scream of joy from the rush but looks confused* H-HE'S NOT COMING?!

Sugar: I-I GUESS NOT-!
*The entire tram takes a nose dive down, almost dropping them all at a 90-degree angle and increasing a speed. Everyone aboard, barring Paine and maybe Mana, scream at the top of their lungs*

Mana: *no, she's screaming-- it's just out of pure joy and adrenaline*
