L2 Space Colony Cluster

Rei: I'm fine. Now, let's go. I'd prefer to at least be at my home while we talked. *starts walking down the street again only this time a bit slower so Sugar can follow.*

[Wow, though she still would draw some attention, huh.]

Sugar: O-okay!
*Sugar quickly follows behind Rei*

(Yeah, it's more of a general "human" design. I suppose I would sketch up a design that fits this universe more...)

Rei: So what brought you to this world? *Rei stops at the edge of the sidewalk for a moment waiting for traffic to clear enough for her and Sugar to cross.*

[I kind of figured.]

*Sugar anxiously crosses the road, as if expecting to be hit by an invisible vehicle*
Sugar: Ah... well, it was an accident really... Dawg and I were planning on visiting Spira, however, I believe he was preoccupied with the amount of salt I used in his cookies...
*Sugar sighs curiously*
Sugar: Maybe I didn't use enough.... either way, I appeared here instead of there, and... well....

Rei: Salt in cookies? How much did she use? I see. *Rei walks towards the far end of the new block they're on, before stopping at a tall apartment building.*

*Sugar looks up at the building*
Sugar: Is this... your new home?

Rei: Yeah, my apartment is on the fourth floor. *opens the door to the building and holds it for Sugar, somehow manageing to balance her bags*

Sugar: Oh, please don't trouble-...
*Sugar fluctuates between trying to take the door from Rei and bowing in thanks to her*

Rei: Just go in. I won't allow you to help me with something as minor as this. You are as of now my guest, so please relax. *Rei nods for Sugar to enter. The look in her eyes shows that she it's going to be stubborn about this.*

Sugar: Th-thank you.
*Sugar obeys Rei's act of kindness and bows quickly, several times in a row, before scurrying into her apartment*

Rei: *enters the building with Sugar. Out of habit she stats towarda the stairwell, before stopping.* Sugar would you prefer taking the elevator to my floor?

Sugar: O-of course! I couldn't let you take the stairs with all those bags.

Rei: *shurgs before going and pressing the up button. After a couple of minutes the elevator doors open for them. Rei steps inside and waits for Sugar to join her before pressing the button with the number four on it.*

*Sugar hops into the elevator and watches the doors slide closed behind her, trembling slightly when the elevator begins to move*
Sugar:....S-so.... How is H-Howl, these days?

Rei: He's good. We aren't as close as we used to be. Howl's mostly been traveling the dimensions on his own. I know he still has a few gaps in his memory, so I worry about him sometimes. Though he's a very different person since that adventure with you guys. *The doors open as they reach the fourth floor. Rei steps out into the hall.* Though he still did give me those fiends as pets, even if he is upset with me.

*Sugar follows Rei into the hallway, her eyes looking at the floor*
Sugar: I feel as though Howl could never be truly upset with you. Even if he has changed...

Rei: *starts walking down the hall* Heh... You'd be surprised. He may be easy going, and peace ordinated, but he can hold a grudge. Especially if he feels lied too. He doesn't care if you don't tell him everything, as long as you don't lie. * she stops in front of a plain dark wood door, she pulls out her keys and sticks one in the lock.* ...He wouldn't be part of our past if he didn't find something unforgivable. *Rei turns the key and opens the door stepping inside the modest two bedroom apartment, and leaving the door open for Sugar*

*Sugar becomes intently focused on the floor as she enter's Rei's apartment, closing the door behind her. She doesn't come with a response, and instead stays quiet*

*Rei's apartment is extremely modest in comparison to her former homes. The floor that Sugar is currently looking at is maple wood flooring, that looks as though it was recently uncovered. The walls are painted a warm dark red color, and have a few pictures scattered on them. There are boxes just about everywhere you look, and only a few pieces of furniture. Against a wall besides a wide window is a dark blue cloth chair that while looking very comfortable doesn't match with the rest of the furniture in what appears to be the living room. The blue chair is obviously older than the rest of the set. A black suede couch is set with it's back to the entry way, with a glass table placed in front of it with celtic knot designs on the edges. A black suede love seat is facing opposite the window, separating with appears to be a small dining room from the living room. The dining room consists of a slightly longer table covered with a blue table cloth that had silver, red, gold and green designs on it though the image is not clear from where they stand. The table is surrounded by four oak chairs, with dark red cusions.* Have a seat anywhere. *Rei turns into a kitchenette that looks as though it could use some renovations, or at least a new coat of paint. The appliances and cupboards are old and showing their age. The linoleum flooring is starting to peel in several places, and is a dirty faded blue white color. Setting her bags on the nearest counter, that looks as bad as the cupboards, and begins putting things away.* Sorry about all the boxes.

*Sugar takes a seat on the black couch, positioning herself to be as close to the kitchenette as its placement allows*
Sugar: They're no bother at all.
*Sugar pauses, watching Rei assemble her things, before continuing*
Sugar: ...Would you like any help with those?

Rei: No thanks it's really not as much as it looks.

*Sugar looks disappointed and looks down at her shoes*
Sugar:...What's special about this place, Rei?
*She doesn't look up, and her voice trembles a bit, but she continues*
Sugar: Why....why move here?

Rei: *She freezes in her actions for a moment before she speaks.* Someone who was very operant to me along time ago was from this colony. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be here. I don't think that Howl would be either. .....*Rei's expressionshows a deep sadness and regret.* I always wanted to see this world...

*Sugar seems to notice Rei's hesitance, and stays quiet for a while, empathetically reacting to her words. She stays quiet for a while, before speaking again*
Sugar:....Have you gone around yet? Have you seen the sights?

Rei: No not yet. I haven't really had the chance. Then again you can kind of see how much or really how little unpacking I've done. .... *Rei looks at the boxes and let's out a sigh.*
