Slifer: *gives a glare worthy of his owner* Do you take me for a fool?

Drench: *Opened his mouth before a loud whistle blew off*

Referee: *Through a megaphone* ALL CHAO WHO ARE SIGNED UP FOR THE CHALLENGE RACE NEED TO REPORT TO THE STARTING LINE NOW!

Drench: Oh, there we go. Good luck!
*Drench winks to Slifer and runs off to the starting line*

Slifer: *walks over as his glare remains in place. As he reaches the starting line he starts to emit a demonic aura that gose unseen.*

*The starting line holds eight different chao among it, all diverse and different. Slifer is chao 5, with Drench as chao 6. Chacron is in his place as chao 8*
*All of the prepare in their own methods, including a chao who went to sleep, as the Referee began a countdown*
Referee: THREE, TWO, ONE,
*The Ref blows his whistle, and like that, the race began*

Slifer: *holds himself back just enough to hold steady in second place.*

*Chacron races ahead of everyone, swiftly gaining a lot of space ahead of all but Slifer and Drench. Drench holds third place, making sure to have Slifer just a meter ahead of him*
Drench:....What the-
*Suddenly a chasm of spikes and flames reveals itself ahead, accompanied by a 20-foot drop*
Chacron: Keh keh, try and keep up!
*Chacron does a volley spin and jumps into the pit, gliding to the other side of the pit with incredible speed*
Drench:You know, he could warn me about this stuff...

Slifer: *flies over everything without a problem and gains a large lead.* ....... *He smirks to himself.* If this is how you want to play, ... then we will play. *the demonic engery comes to an strange and sudden stop.*

*Chacron climbs up to the top of the cliff and see's that Slifer is ahead*
Chacron: I underestimated him...
*He jumps up and starts running at his full speed, closing in on him*
*Drench stops at the pit, along with all the other chao*
Drench: Ugh, now I have to take the long way...
*Drench walks along the side of the pit, the other chao all dumbfounded on what to do*

Slifer: I thought Drench said this was going to be hard. I'm not even using half of my full abilities yet. And if things keep going this smoothly I won't even need any demonic energies. *Slifer senses that someones gaining on him and picks up his pace.*

Chacron: ~Urg... this has gone on far enough. I've never lost before, and I don't plan on it now.~
*Chacron pulls out a walkie-talkie*
Chacron: Spring the trap, now!
"Drench" *On the other side of the talkie*: Alright, alright, jeez, If he wasn't my father, I swear...

Chacron: Just what I've always wanted.

Slifer: *stops and sighs* A primitive robot... How... *yawn* lame. Well I guess I can have some fun with this at least. Well, let's see what you got. *Allows demonic energy to flow freely.*

Chacron: Energy flux is at a max, huh, this guy doesn't look like he'll mess around. Fine then!
*Chacron pushes some buttons, and a large apparel of missiles opens up from the side, firing directly at Slifer*

Slifer: *dodges missiles while the demonic energy spirals around them.*

Chacron:... I'm going to safely assume that this is no ordinary chao.
*Chacron's machine slowly charges at Slifer. Slooowly*
Chacron: I knew I should've invested in the speed portion...

Slifer: *missles redirect at the machine going twice as fast as they are totally consumed by the dark energy.* I wonder if I gained other abilites too? *continues the race at a walk in case the machine isn't finished yet.*

Chacron: NOOOOO!!~!!
*Explosion*
*"Drench" suddenly appears infront of Slifer, panting and gasping for breath*
Drench: *cough* Ugh, I'm not, *wheeze* getting paid enough for this...

:Alright, I didn't think you'd be able to beat Chacron, but your not going anywhere. I'll finish you right here!
*She prepares herself for battle*

Slifer: *yawns* Look, since I'm guessing this is all part of your job, but I'd rather not test how far my abilites go here. So let me pass and you won't have to deal with me or any yokai.

:Yokai? Spirits? So THAT'S your secret. I was wondering, no normal chao can take out the chao walker. But I'm afraid I can't let you pass. You see, the grand prize for this race is a Chaos Emerald and frankly, my Chac-ey Whac-ey wouldn't ever forgive me if I lost it for him.
*She touched her last few words with a bit of obsession, before maintaining her posture*

Slifer: *surpressed a gag at the "Chac-ey Whac-ey." But then his eyes light up* So that's the prize. *Slifer gives a smirk worthy of his owner.* Well that changes things. And you're off about my abilites. I live with yokai, they teach me a few things. Like this... *Dark energy forms around the other chao and binds her draining her energy and giving it to Slifer.*

:Nyaah! Lemme go!
*She struggles ferociously against the bind, flailing as much as she can*
:If I break free from this I'm gonna-
*Suddenly a missle is heard flying through the air behind Slifer*

Slifer: *sighs and uses demonic energy to redirect the missle.*

*Chacron jumps out of the way, and lands on all four, one paw/handthing holding a broken remain or the Chao walker*
Chacron: Put Nexeus down! This fight is between you and me!
*Chacron threw away the broken missile launcher and pulled out a Chaos Emerald*
Chacron: This is what you want, right? If you can beat me, It's your along with the grand prize.

Slifer: You started this and got... Nexus, involved. I simply came to race and level out the odds. *sees other chao starting to catch up.* I don't want you emerald, all I want is a fair race from here on out. No tricks, No demonic energy, only the skills we have gained on our own and with the help of our... masters? *The demonic energy around Nexeus dissipated once she was too tired to cause any trouble.* Do we have a deal? *holds out hand with an honest look on face.*
